A Stepping Stone To Possible Glory

by Jimmy Rhatigan

Castlecomer AC under age athletes, many of them novice competitors, competed in the team relays and individual races.

The event was an ideal stepping stone to opportunities and challenges to come for all as the season opens.

The relays in particular generate a sense of team solidarity as each competitor steps up to engage in this most demanding of disciplines with the natural elements centre stage.

Weather and underfoot conditions were relatively benign on this occasion.
