THE QUARTER finals of the Michael Lyng Motors Hyundai Intermediate Hurling Championship have thrown up a particularly mouth-watering ‘semi’.

Freshford’s Saint Lachtain’s victory over South Kilkenny side Carrickshock means that they now face the Fenians of Johnstown in what could be a rip roaring North Kilkenny battle of noisy neighbours.

Fenians had a narrow 1-20 to 2-16 win over St Martin’s of Muckalee, Ballyfoyle while there were three points between The Saints and the ‘Shock 1-17 to 1-14.

Meanwhile, Glenmore had a comfortable 2-15 to 0-13 win over Danesfort and now take on Henry Shefflin’s Thomastown that saw off O’Loughlin Gaels by an impressive 2-24 to 2-13.

In a St Canice’s Credit Union Senior Hurling Relegation showdown, Graigue Ballycallan got the better of Erin’s Own, 3-16 to 1-18.
