ONE OF O’Loughlin Gaels favourite hurling sons got off to a great start as manager of his St John’s Parish senior hurling team when he led the Gaels to a hard fought league victory over a battling Graigue Ballycallan.

At the end of a game that may not have been rated a classic, Andy’s Army, aka Andy Comerford’s senior squad, had two points on the board.
The final score was O’Loughlin Gaels 1-18, Graigue Ballycallan 0-18.

Both clubs will have taken positives from their maiden voyage of the league campaign but both will also know that there are more testing games to come.
