One Foot In The Grave

The Rower Inistioge has one foot in the grave and the other on a banana skin after a senior championship relegation battle with Lisdowney.

Victory would lead to safety for Lisdowney that fully deserved its 3-18 to 1-15 victory over Eddie Keher’s Rower Inistioge, hardly a fitting way to mark the 80th birthday of one of the greatest, if not the greatest hurlers of all time.

The trap door from senior to intermediate now awaits the losers of the Rower Inistioge and Erin’s Own of Castlecomer.

Both are proud rural clubs and will fight tooth and nail to cling on to the top flight of the local game.
